In alignment with its commitment to environmental sustainability, Noor Al Sahara General Contracting Sole Proprietorship has successfully launched the “No Plastic Campaign” on the major road upgrading project from Al Faya to Seih Shuhaib (E75), in collaboration with ALDAR Projects LLC.

Led by the HSE team, the campaign aims to significantly reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles on site—one of the most common sources of waste in the construction sector. Through the initiative, reusable water bottles were distributed to all workers and labourers, with active engagement from both the contractor and consultant teams.

The primary objective of the campaign is to eliminate the need for single-use plastic bottles entirely on site. By adopting reusable alternatives, NAS is on track to prevent the disposal of approximately 600 plastic bottles each month—marking a tangible step toward waste reduction and responsible resource consumption.

This initiative reflects NAS’s broader environmental objectives and its dedication to integrating sustainable practices into every stage of project execution. Through proactive environmental leadership, Noor Al Sahara continues to set a benchmark for sustainability in the construction industry and reinforce its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
